It’s been almost a year since my last visit to London, my favorite city in the whole world. So I thought I would write about 3 of my favorite things to do while there to immerse myself in the British spirit.
Have a Hummingbird Cupcake & Tea
My favorite cupcake on this planet to date is at Hummingbird Bakery in London. It’s their Red velvet and IT IS SCRUMPTIOUS!! Family members have flown these babies across the Atlantic Ocean multiple times because they are THAT good. If you are ever in London stop at the South Kensington location (the best one!) , or any other location just to try their baked goods!
Walk around Hyde Park & Kensington Gardens
Last April it happened to be an extra beautiful day so I dragged my brother and cousin straight to Hyde Park after we landed. I love walking around the gardens and along the waterfront. There are so many parts to the park, its hard to get into them all in this post, but they are all worth walking too. My favorite are the Kensington Gardens, The Peter Pan Monument and Princess Diana Memorial.
Have a Pint at Oxford & Arms
Oxford & Arms is one of those cool pubs where you feel at home. My brother and cousin ended up living in the Camden neighborhood during their semesters abroad and that is how I found, and fell in love with, Camden. This pub is one of the great places to have a pint with a mate 😉 Great prices and cool people, whats not to like?!
Let me know if the comments if you have any favorite things to do in London, or your favorite city. I’m always curious to hear what cities are peoples favorites and why!
Happy Monday Friends 🙂
