5 Places in the USA to Road Trip to this Summer

The spring is a great time to start planning summer vacations. When I think of summer vacation, I think of road trips!

Here are 5 places in the USA to road trip to this summer:

Nashville, Tennesse

Nashville offers music, food and history all wrapped up in a fast growing city. It’s the perfect destination for a southern road trip. Check out my Ultimate Guide to Nashville.

Rock City Brewery Nashville

|Rock Bottom Brewery|

Hang out all day and watch live music in every bar on Broadway.

Adele's Nashville

Nashville’s food scene is on fire right now! Every neighborhood has delicious food so you can’t go wrong if you are looking for something yummy on your trip. Save room for dessert!

|Grand Ole Opry|

Book tickets to listen to some of country music’s biggest stars on the most storied stage.

Kennebunkport, Maine

Looking for a beach vibe and some fresh lobster?! Kennebunkport is your destination in the Northeast.

Stay in one of the many B&B’s in this quaint New England town. Enjoy shopping at the weekly farmer’s market and listening to live music during the Kennebunkport Summer Concert Series in the Downtown Plaza.

Fill up on fresh lobster rolls and fries at Mabel’s Lobster Claw at least once a day during your stay ;-).

Zion National Park, Utah

Looking for activity when arriving at your destination?! Then Zion National Park in Utah might be the place for you.

You can hike, bike, kayak, tube and climb while enjoying the beautiful colors of the canyons.

If camping isn’t your style or you need to recharge from all the hiking in a more comfortable atmosphere, you can always check out and stay in a hotel in nearby Springdale, Utah.

Los Angeles, California

The ultimate road trip in the USA of course is New York to LA or vice versa (it was an amazing/tough 9 days when I did it). No matter if you want to take two weeks to get there, or if you want to drive straight to LA, this destination is jam packed with things to do.

Hike and/or visit the landmark’s like Griffith Park.

Zuma Beach

Hang out on the beach in Malibu or Venice.

If you are traveling with kids, check out Universal Studios and the new Harry Potter World.

And let’s not forgot about the food…or dessert 🙂

Yellowstone National Park

Established as the world’s first national park in 1872, Yellowstone offers a unique setting of American history.

Yellowstone is the perfect summer destination to relax and recharge while exploring sights like Old Faithful or Yellowstone Lake.

While camping out in Yellowstone you can enjoy boating, fishing and hiking in the parks designated areas. It’s a great place the whole family can enjoy.

Half the fun is the road trip and half the fun is the destination 🙂

I’ve been seeing commercials lately for the national parks in Utah which has been making me want to go so bad! And Nashville! Been at the top of my list for U.S. cities for a while now, and I just need to make it happen <3

I hoping to get up to Main this summer when I visit my brother in Boston. That lobster roll looks amazing! Zion is also on my (very long) bucket list! #wanderfulwednesday

All of these really do sound like the perfect roadtrip destinations this summer! I visited Nashville a couple of years ago, and I instantly fell in love! It’s just such a fun and cool city!

I’ve always wanted to go to Yellowstone, it’s just so incredibly vast for us Europeans!

Whenever I see road trips like this I wish I had more vacation time! It’s impossible to do a decent road trip while you’re working here. Love your photos! #WanderfulWednesday

Woot Woot for LA And Zion! I will like to drive from Los Angeles to Florida or do Route 66. My husband says I am crazy but I am sure he will join the adventure. I have to plan my road trips for the year though. #WanderfulWednesday

I would pick Maine and Yellowstone in a heartbeat cause I’ve seen so many beautiful pictures from there already! But then again, some California sunshine and Harry Potter World (!!!) don’t sound so bad either 😉
