Dessert First: Seattle

Hi Friends!

Today, I am finally getting around to sharing my Seattle #DessertFirst favorites! I love traveling to new spots and finding scrumptious treats to satisfy my sweet tooth. Seattle didn’t disappoint and I only wish I had more time to visit more of the dessert shops.

Cupcake Royale || Boasting itself as the best place in town to get a cupcake for 13 years, Cupcake Royale offers mouth-watering cupcakes, an ice cream bar and espresso if you need a jolt after your sugar coma!

Gelatiamo || This spot might have been my favorite (I know, over a cupcake shop?!). I really liked the atmosphere inside and the girls behind the counter were so nice to us. I couldn’t believe how delicious the flavors were, since I tried a few too many lol, and how the dishes were old school ice cream dishes. The espresso was even amazing. This is a must stop when you are downtown!

Molly Moons Homemade Ice Cream || We ventured to the Molly Moons in the first hill area, but there are many scattered through the city. Molly’s boasts a menu full of alternative flavors like scout mint and honey lavender. I always stick with chocolate and their melted chocolate flavor was decadent yet satisfying.  They are known for locally sourcing their ingredients and offering vegan friendly options.

Shug’s Soda Fountain & Ice Cream || A sweet throwback to the good ol’ days (or so I’ve been told 😉), Shug’s is a great place to take the family when you are visiting Seattle. It’s inside Pike Place so you should plan to save your visit while exploring the market. They have fun sundaes for the kids and champagne and beer for the adults. Perfect combo in my book!

If you are like me and always want your #DessertFirst then here are my favorites spots in other cities I’ve traveled to:

Dessert First: Paris

Dessert First: Los Angeles

Dessert First: New York

Dessert First: Nashville

Dessert First: San Diego

Have the sweetest week!

Aww I do too! My dad saves those cookies from Delta and gives them to me sometimes. They go perfect with my coffee 🙂

Oh, I love the idea of DessertFirst, since I’m a big sweets fan for sure. That gelato place looks awesome. I have a local ice cream shop by me that serves their ice cream in old school dishes and it looks a bit like a soda shop too. 🙂 I’m drooling over all of these.

Ahh I loved my time in Seattle – but I can’t say I really tested out the dessert scene. So these are great recommendations for a future visit!

This list came in handy because I’m going to Seattle in just a little over a week! I LOVE dessert (especially ice cream), so a few of the stuff on this list sound so good to me. Right up my alley! And lavender honey ice cream is one of my all-time favorite ice cream flavors!

Ooh, I love all of those places, I’m a Seattleite! Next time you’re in Seattle you’ll have to try Hot Cakes! They’re known for their lava style cakes, and come in standard or vegan form. It takes dessert to a whole new level.
