Does anyone else always look for these numbers on a clock?
I’d like to also thank all of our veterans out there for their service to our country! One of my favorites reminded me this week about the sacrifices they make.
Fall Goals 2016
I had so much crossing off my fall goals these past two months! I felt like I was more connected to the season more than ever before. Check out my recap here!
Hacksaw Ridge is a powerful movie that has stayed with me all week. It’s the story of a World War II solider, Desmond Doss, who refuses to bear arms during his service. He still believes in serving his country but wants to be a medic, due to life events before the war. Andrew Garfield was amazing and I hope he gets an Oscar Nomination for this role. The love story between Desmond and his wife Dorothy, played by Teresa Palmer, is beautiful too. However, this was definitely the most violent and realistic war film I’ve ever seen and I had to look away a lot during the battle scenes. Thats part of the story though and gives weight to his convictions. It was a good reminder for me to be thankful for our veterans and everything they’ve been through to protect our country 🙂
I’m still excited about my tomatoes I planted in the beginning of the summer. I’ve had to move them inside and outside each day because they’re still growing and I want to get every last one I can. It makes me wish I had a little green house set up so that I could continue gardening in the winter. Does anyone grow anything in the winter months?! I would love to hear about it.
BP. Sweater Dress
I forgot to take a picture when I wore this sweater dress to a baby shower this weekend. It was perfect with leggings and boots and I can’t wait to wear it with over the knee boots as well. Perfect fall/winter piece! I’m 5’5, ordered a small, and it’s long enough to be a dress. I love the navy color 🙂
3 Worthwhile Day Trips from London
Since London is always a favorite in my book, I wrote a post this week on 3 easy day trips to take from the city. They include the majestic Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and the Harry Potter Warner Brothers Studio. I ‘m sure I’ll be able to add more in the future since I never turn down a chance to visit my favorite city 🙂 Check out the post here.
Happy Veterans Day! I hope everyone has a great weekend 🙂
