Phew, we made it. Happy Friday!
I’m sorry I’ve been MIA this past week but it was a crazy one. So let’s get straight to my short and sweet favorites from this insane week!
#GoCubsGo. I’m a huge fan of sports history and what an amazing story to watch the Chicago Cubs win their first World Series in 108 years! I’ve never been so entertained by a baseball game in my life. I love how it felt like the whole country was rooting for the Cubs, when it feels like we can be so divided sometimes. Although I’m a bigger football fan, I respect what the power of all sports can do. How about all those older fans that have finally seen their team win? I’ve cried a few tears over all their stories this past week. So I may be over tired but what a joy it’s been to watch history made this week and I’m so happy for the beautiful city of Chicago!!
CMA’s 50 Anniversary
I taped the CMAs so that I could watch them the next night since they had the unfortunate luck of going up against game 7. That’s right I chose sports over music, but thank god for DVR lol. I’m so glad I didn’t miss them because the celebration of 50 years of the CMAs was amazing. I just saw Carrie Underwood in concert last week and I’m so happy for her that she won female vocalist of the year. Plus I love watching all her outfit changes because the girl can rock anything. I was happy for Maren Morris and loved her speech about watching the CMAs from the bar across the road last year. The Dolly Parton tribute was awesome. And to top it all off, Beyonce performed! Daddy’s Lessons was my favorite song off her new album and I love that she got to perform it with country music. I just wish Faith Hill, Martina McBride or Shania Twain got to perform to bring back my childhood memories. Did anyone else have any favorite parts of the show?
Can you believe this crazy week started off with Halloween?! I had an awesome one spending it with my 2 year old god daughter. You can check out my overview here.
Yoga by Candace
Through out this crazy week I tried to find time to keep my 15 minute yoga videos going. I find this is the only way I can actually do yoga, the quicker the better. I’m not a huge fan of 1 hour group classes so I’m happy I found Yoga by Candace on youtube. I like her voice and pace through out her videos and I can choose what I want to focus on if I have a quick block of time. Has anyone else followed her videos?!
National Museum of Dance
I finished one of my last fall goals this week, going to a museum I haven’t been to before. I will go into depth about my visit next week on my fall goals recap post. It was such an inspiring visit though that I had to make it a favorite this week! Look out for the recap next week!
Thank god it’s the weekend and the clocks get turned back, I need to catch up on some sleep 🙂
See you Monday friends!
