Happy Friday! I would say I’m relieved but I have a crazy, crazy weekend ahead of me. My favorites are a little health conscious this week because I’ve been doing everything in my power to stay healthy. It seems like everywhere I turn someone is coming down with something and if the stress of the season it’s easy to catch things so I’m being extra careful.
So many birthdays are happening this weekend and I can’t wait. It’s my best friend’s birthday, my great uncle’s 90th(!) and then today is the actual birth of my cousin’s twin boys. I’m so excited to meet them 🙂 That’s pretty much my favorite of the year! Now here are the rest of the weeks:
It was so much fun to host my first giveaway this week! Congratulations to Monday’s winner: Victoria and to Wednesday’s winner: Leslie D.
Thank you to all those that participated in both giveaways! I can’t wait to do my next one 🙂 Stay tuned…
Quick Effective Workouts
I’ve mentioned my Popsugar Fitness Videos as a favorite before and I wanted to list them again because they really are the best way to get a workout in. This time of the year I’m so busy that it’s hard to get to a class or block out an hour to really get a good workout in. What I love about these videos is that I can fit them in between work, errands and daily life right in the comfort and accessibility of my own home. There are no excuses available and I can always commit to 20 mins. I feel like I’m really working out since most of my favorite ones I rotate are HIIT type workouts. The videos are my way of trying to keep my body healthy during this crazy season 🙂
I’ve been actively trying to consume at least 2L of water a day for staying hydrated and for my dry skin. My Vapur Water Bottle is by my side all day long. If I fill it twice during the day I get close to reaching my goal. I love that I can roll it back up and put it in my pursue when I am done with it too. This water bottle makes a great gift!
I found the app Breathe in People magazine a few months ago and decided to give it a try. I’ve never been into mediation but for some reason this app has convinced me its worth it. It starts by asking you to check in with your emotional and physical well being before it finds you a quick guided mediation that suits your current mood. I like that I can choose the length depending on how much time I have and I can track my progress. I’ve noticed I’ve felt a lot calmer and focused the past few months, which was perfect preparation for this season. I especially love the before bedtime one. If you’ve been looking for an easy way to start meditating to see the benefits, I highly suggest this app!
To keep my holiday spirit up, and as a way to relieve stress and relax, I’ve been watching some of my favorite Christmas movies. I linked up with Mix and Match Mama and A Little Bit Of Everything this week for Stranded: Favorite Christmas Movies.
Family and Laughter really is the best medicine for anything right?!
I’ll be recapping my crazy and exciting weekend on the blog on Monday so check in for Weekending!!
I hope you all are having a happy and healthy holiday season.
