I’m excited about all my favorites this week so let’s get to it!
Beginner’s Guide to Mardi Gras
On Wednesday I shared my Beginner’s Guide to Mardi Gras in New Orleans with you all and the response was awesome! It sounds like a lot of you have this on your bucket list and thought these tips were helpful. If you missed it click the link above and PIN IT for your future Mardi Gras trip 😉 I was also happy to see that I wasn’t the only one who fell in love with New Orleans as a city too. I’ll be posting my food guide to NOLA next week so stay tuned!
I love finding new content on airplane entertainment menus. Especially when I see someone sitting next to me or across the aisle from me watching something that looks interesting (you do this too right?! lol). Well last week I was on a Delta flight that had the documentary The First Monday in May as an option. I started it on the plane and finished it at home on Netflix this week. I’m not the biggest fan of the art and high fashion world, but I am a fan of celebrity culture. The Met Gala is one of the biggest events in the celeb world each year and The First Monday in May depicts how Anna Winter and her team came up with the 2014 Chinese centered theme. It was really fascinating and I actually enjoyed the art history aspect of it. If you are a fan of art, fashion or celebrities (maybe all three!) I recommend checking out this documentary on Netflix.
Favorite Article/ Single-Tasking
So one of my goals this year was to strive to focus on one thing at a time in all facets of my life. I felt like all my constant multitasking was making me feel scattered. It didn’t seem to help my efficiency. Well I came across an article this week in the New York Times that spoke to those thoughts. I wanted to share it here incase any of you were feeling the same way. My single-tasking has already made a difference this week.
These Nike sneakers have been a huge motivator for my workouts this week. I’ve been wearing them in the house for my strength training workouts. I’m excited to try them out this weekend with jeans for a causal look.
I’m a huge fan of Live with Kelly and I’m also super excited about the new Beauty and the Beast movie coming out next Friday (Emma Watson and Dan Stevens?! yes please). So when I saw on Live with Kelly that Disney is hosting a contest for a chance to stay at Duns Castle in Scotland with 20 of your closest people, I had to share this! I’m also a huge fan of Home Away too, which is cosponsoring the contest, because they are always a great option for accommodations when traveling. If you click the link above you will be entered for a chance to win! Isn’t it on everyone’s bucket list to stay in a beautiful European castle for at least one night?!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
