Happy Friday!!

Cheers we made it to Friday. I don’t know whether to take a nap or sip a glass of wine. It’s been an exciting week celebrating Mardi Gras, but I have some other favorites to talk about as well 🙂

New Orleans & Mardi Gras

New Orleans

Ah I’m still recovering from my adventures in New Orleans at Mardi Gras. It was such a beautiful weekend to experience this amazing tradition and enjoy Louisiana for the first time. Mardi Gras in NOLA has always been on my bucket list and it ended up being more enjoyable than I thought it would be (basically because everyone told me it would be way too crowded and dirty). I will do a beginner’s guide to Mardi Gras and 5 can’t miss foods/restaurants next week on the blog to recap my trip. The food, the drinks, the hospitality and the celebrations made it an unforgettable trip. I would definitely do it all over again 🙂

Spring Beauty Favorites

New makeup is always a favorite! I talked about five of my favorite spring beauty products on Wednesday. You can check it out here if you missed it! A few of you agreed that the Lancome blush was a favorite of yours too 🙂

New Tunic Dress

Similar J.Crew Tunic /Kendra Scott Necklaceicon

This new tunic dress from J.Crew Mercantile with leggings has been my go-to outfit lately with the crazy weather the Northeast has been having. It’s gone from 60-30 degrees and back again making it difficult to pick out an outfit each day. I love this tunic because it’s a 3/4 quarter sleeve, stretchy and thicker material for when the temperature drops. It would go great with just ballet flats in a couple of weeks so it’s a great transitional piece.

New Travel Inspiration

I was sitting in the Atlanta airport this week and a story came on the CNN channel about a young woman who just completed her quest to visit every country in the world. I naturally looked her up on social media and was inspired by all the places she has seen and all the causes she fights for. While I don’t have the same  end goal as her (I just want to make it to all 50 states and to certain places abroad) , I find her story as an important reminder to keep your curiosity in the world alive. You never know what other experiences or places can bring to your life!

I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend 🙂

So jealous that you were in New Orleans for Mardi Gras! What an experience! I’ve been down there a few times and I LOVE it but never for Mardi Gras. You’ll prob need all weekend to recover from that one. Happy Friday!

I’m sure Mardi Gras was amazing! I would probably sip a glass of wine and then take a nap lol. That tunic dress is so cute. I always love hearing about travel inspiration. My goal is also to visit all 50 states. I just love to travel so as long as I am getting away I’m happy. Have a great weekend! Beautifully Candid

I did Mardi Gras in NOLA one year. It was the year I first moved to Texas. I would love to go back again for it some time.
