This week started off with a bang since it was my birthday on Monday and I happened to be in the Bahamas with my family. Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, I feel so lucky to have this space to connect with all of you!
So my favorites this week are somewhat birthday/Bahamas related:
My birthday is always a favorite since I believe in celebrating birthdays to the fullest. I started Monday by watching the sunrise on the beach with my mom and it set the tone for a beautiful day. I’m so thankful I was able to spend the day with a drink in my hand, on the beach, toes in the water, with my loved ones in one of my favorite places in the world. I couldn’t think of a better scenario 🙂
In case you missed it, I wrote a 20 things about me post because personally I like those types of posts and I wanted to share more about myself with you all!
What can I say about the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas that hasn’t already been said before?! It’s the ultimate beach vacation destination. I was lucky enough to experience The Cove at Atlantis three years ago and couldn’t wait to get back. This time around was just as fun and relaxing! I will have a full travel diary on Monday recaping all the details from my trip including my YOU HAVE TO DO IT Rose Island day trip.
Bella Vita Sandals
Vacations call for new shoes right?! These Bella Vita Sandals were so comfy and well made that I never had to worry about the long walks around the Atlantis Resort. How cute is that fringe tassel!? I got them in beige suede because they went with several different outfits (working on packing light for my trips ;-)). Now the better weather needs to come to New York asap so I can keep wearing my new favorite shoes.
Banana Bread Muffins
These Banana bread muffins by Chocolate Covered Katie were a yummy and an easy breakfast all week! My cousin had made them the week before as muffins and they were delicious. They made for a healthy and cost effective breakfast on this trip to leave room for more cocktails ;-). I’m happy she introduced me to Chocolate Covered Katie, I can’t wait to make more recipes!
How I Built This: Kendra Scott
Ok so you’ve heard me go on and on about the podcast How I Built This but I get more inspired with each entrepreneur I listen too. I’ve been a huge fan of Kendra Scott’s jewelry for a few years now and I couldn’t wait to listen to how she started it all. Her story was really inspiring because she started this company all on her own with little experience in retail.
A few of my favorite pieces of her’s are the Elle earrings which are really elegant and I usually only wear them for special occasions.
The Dani earrings are smaller and are great for an every day look.
I wear one of these necklaces every day too.
I’m sad vacation’s over but happy it’s the weekend! See you on Monday 🙂
