We made it! It’s Memorial Day Weekend! Wahooooo!
Since it’s a holiday Monday, that I’ll be enjoying with family, I’ll be back on the blog Wednesday!
Sorry the pics are a bit blurry, this was before iPhones 😉
These have been a favorite for a long, long time. I bought my first silver Gizeh pair in April 2010 before I went to Europe. I wanted a shoe that would not hurt as I trekked through six countries while still looking fashionable in all my pictures. These were perfect! I wore them out for the next 5 years while living in New York and Los Angeles. I definitely got the mileage out of them and finally had to buy a new pair last year. This week on my road trip I wore them every day because they don’t bother me while I drive because they stay in place on your foot! #myshoeofthesummer
I’m so happy Jojo’s season has started! I loved her on Ben’s season and totally thought he should have picked her, that last episode was heart-break-ing. However the beauty of her not being picked means more Jojo on my TV. I love her sense of humor and how poised she is, also her hair is absolutely gorgeous. Sorry I have a huge girl crush and I know I’m not the only one, Sheaffer’s Bachelorette Recaps are always so funny, definitely check them out!
Why ABC Why?! I watched the finale and felt like it was so rushed and just awful in general as far as Tv Finales go. I really love this show, the music, the talent, the setting-some network needs to pick up this show immediately. I need to know what happens to Scarlett and Gunnar! If you watch Nashville tell me what you thought in the comments. I was going to put up a screen grab of Scarlett and Gunnar but then I didn’t want to spoil anything if you haven’t seen the finale yet!

At the risk of sounding cheese, and my last two favorites are kind of related, a huge favorite this week is our lovely country. Driving across the sweeping landscapes of the Midwest while listening to music reminds me how lucky we are to live in this country. Four straight days of driving will give you a lot of time to think and I was truly trying to appreciate what this country gives me as a person and how I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else 🙂
I’m so happy to start this holiday weekend and I want to thank all the veterans in my life and around the country who we celebrate on Monday! Here’s to a weekend full of sun, lake, red white & blue, cookouts, desserts, your favorite drink, family & friends and reunions! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend however they choose to spend it 🙂
