Happy Friday Everyone!
Let’s get to it 🙂
The Summer Olympics!!
I love watching the Olympics! I get really into it both the summer and winter games, when they come around. I’ve pretty much been watching them every night in my living room, not wanting to do anything else. I feel like watching all the different events motivates me, especially to not make excuses for working out. Anyone else feel extra motivated when the summer games come in August?! I always love women’s gymnastics and I’m so happy for Team USA and Simone and Aly! I do think the London games were more fun to watch though because it felt like there was more of a competition and Mckayla Maroney’s amazing vault (that needed a 10 judges!!). However, this time around has been fun watching Team USA be so dominant. Poor Gabby should have competed last night because the rest of the other countries had meltdowns and she probably could have won the bronze!
I’ve also been watching Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross, that match against the swedes the other night was intense! Lastly who on the planet isn’t watching Michael Phelps and his super human abilities?! Plus the women of swimming are amazing as well! Leave a comment with who you are watching!
Kristin Cavalleri’s Oat Balls
I’ve mentioned Kristin’s book before as a favorite and I’ve made different recipes before but this oat balls are extra yummy. I wanted to try these since they offer so much protein and fiber. Even if you aren’t a fan of Kristin’s, I highly recommend buying her book that encompasses her healthy lifestyle. It includes recipes, workout tips, fashion and mommy tips! I’ve already convinced a few friends that they need this book and they agree it’s fabulous 🙂 The balls didn’t all stay in ball form, so I might have not used enough almond butter, however I easily mixed the rest in yogurt as a granola.
Stranded Three Things: Shoe Edition
I have been loving this combo of sweat proof and smudge proof makeup products that have kept up with the summer heat. I don’t wear makeup to the lake or when I’m out swimming but I like to wear a little bit of foundation and eye makeup for days at the track or when I’m working. Clinique’s Stay Matte is an oil free formula that covers what it needs to but doesn’t clog my pores in the heavy humidity or heat. I have been using this foundation for a few summers now and I love it!
The other product is Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick in travel size!
I love how summery my eyes look when I use the different bronze colors, especially because my skin is tanner right now. I like the travel size because its a reasonable price and I always buy travel size so everything fits when I’m on the go!
3 Things to See in Chicago
Headed to Chicago in the next few months? Check out my three must see’s before you head there to incorporate them in your visit. It’s really a beautiful city and I had such a fun time hearing about all the history and getting to eat some steak!
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, I’ll be here watching more of the olympics 😉
