Whew I can’t believe how fast this week went by. I have been hitting the reset button this week on my eating, working out and focus after an awesome New England trip. Look for my part two recap on Monday talking about Portsmouth, NH & Portland, ME. I’ll be on another adventure this weekend (making the most of summer ;-)) don’t forget to follow along on instastories!
The Happiness Project
I drew inspiration for my reset from Gretchen Rubin’s The Happiness Project Calendar I’ve used all year. I read The Happiness Project a few years ago and appreciate the reminders this calendar gives me of her basic notes from the book.
I highly recommend her other two books: Happier At Home & Better Than Before. You can pre-order her new book: The Four Tendencies, where she expands on how there are four different personality types in terms of how we respond to expectations. Her approach to cultivating happiness is very relatable and focuses on getting the most of your relationships, work and personal possessions.
New Lipsticks Updated
I know I posted about this last week, but I picked up two NEWER lipsticks (I have a problem, someone intervene) and wanted to add them to the list!
One is from MAC: Bold Spring. I know the name might throw you off but it’s a great fall color!
The second is from Clinique’s new line POP: Rose Pop was the one I got!
I also couldn’t help myself and had to pick up this smash box eye trio. I stick to purple/pink hues because of my brown eyes.

Yummy Vegan Summer Salad
In keeping with my reset, last night I made this light and refreshing summer salad with some of the basil from my garden that I wanted to use up. I do tend to eat more salads in the summer and I will definitely bookmark this one to make more often next year! Check Pinterest for more yummy recipes.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
