Two years ago today (sigh) I went on a once in a life time trip to the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort with some of the women in my family. It’s a perfect trip for a girls long weekend. I don’t think I could fit all my thoughts, feelings and pictures in one post so here is an overview of my experience!
From the beaches, to the water slides and even the teen club they sipped smoothies in, I knew this was the place for me after I saw this movie. Well fast forward some years and the Atlantis turned out to offer ALOT more than that!
We were lucky enough to stay at The Cove and have beautiful ocean view rooms and access to Cain at The Cove, the adult only pool. It was my favorite spot to be! The drinks were amazing, yes expensive, but hey when I’m on vacation I don’t mind as much as long as they are made well. #BahamaMamaPlease
My mom, sister, aunts and I all had a great time starting each day at the beautiful white pristine beach with “our” special palm tree and ending the day by the pool. We experienced the lazy rivers, the slower one by the Beach Tower is way more relaxing, the faster one is more for kids. The waterslides were awesome but I do have to note that I chickened out when it was my turn for the Shark tank one :-(. I just couldn’t bring myself to do that big of a drop, I guess my daredevil days are behind me.
We walked the grounds before dinner because there was so much to see on the resort. My favorite was the Marina area behind the Atlantis where you could see all the yachts parked from around the world. The Marina area was also home to more restaurants, shops and live music to enjoy while walking around. My grandmother was partial to the casino most of our days and nights haha so they do offer that.
All of the food on the meal plan was delicious! You guys know how I feel about dessert and man did they offer some amazing ones at each restaurant 🙂 🙂 Sorry some of the pictures are dark, if you have any questions about the meal plan or restaurants comment below or send me an email and I’d be happy to share my experiences more specifically.
