Happy Monday Friends!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend and for those with a three-day weekend, enjoy today! I’m linking up with my girl Biana for a look back on this exciting football filled weekend.

On Friday night, J and I went to the movies to see The Post with Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks. I’m a huge fan of Tom Hanks and I think Meryl is fantastic in some of the roles she plays, but this one was a drag. I was disappointed because I haven’t been to the movies in a few months and again anything with Tom Hanks is usually a win in my book. The quick synopsis is the owner of The Washington Post has to decide whether to print top-secret Pentagon papers about the Vietnam War which could jeopardize her failing newspaper. Not one of my favorites.

Saturday I drove out to the Patriots divisional playoff game. It’s a whole day kind of experience. The windchill was no joke on Saturday night and we were a little unprepared in our tailgating game. That is a new goal for me, master the tailgate this year lol. Being a New England fan you need to be ready for the wind, rain and the snow. I have to work on the wind part. The crisp colors of the New England sky were beautiful though.

Our crew for this game! I can’t say it enough, I’m so thankful to have this amazing tradition with my family for the past 25 years. The time I spend with these crazies going to games are memories I will cherish forever.

One of my favorite places to be!!

My cute cousins and I trying to pretend we aren’t freezing our butts off 😊

(Always have to wear my favorite Bite Lipstick to the games #itsonlyweirdifitdoesntwork lol)

It was a great win and I immediately woke up on Sunday morning and ordered these thermals. I had double and triple the layers on, but realized I need a solid pair of thermals still.

Sunday was a reset day, especially for food, since I devoured my cousin’s amazing ribs and cheesy potatoes at the tailgate. I went to my Pinterest recipes board and found this delicious and easy gem for J and I. Fresh lemons = detox in my book.

I read part of my hygge book  mainly because I just wanted to be warm and cozy after being outside most of  Saturday. I also caught the second two divisional games and holy cow can I just say how excited I was for Minnesota. I want a Pats/Vikings Super Bowl and their last-minute comeback was thrilling! My best friend’s fiancé was at the game and the camera caught him in the stands at the end celebrating, which was so fun to see!

Welp that wraps up my football weekend. See you all on Wednesday for a new #DessertFirst edition!

What a great weekend! It must have been so fun to be at the game but I’m sure the wind and cold is hard to deal with. Thermals are a great idea! If you have a Uniqlo near you, my co-worker swears by their heat tech wear. Sierra~Beautifully Candid

How fun that you were at that game, albeit super cold! And bummer about the movie, usually anything with Tom Hanks is a definite win.
