Happy Monday friends!
Whew it was a late end last night to one of the best weekends ever! So last week my best friend’s boyfriend called me to let me know he was proposing to her on Friday (eeek!). Then he said he wanted to throw her a surprise engagement party on Saturday night with all their friends. Let’s just say I was beyond excited and went straight into planning mode. But first….
On Friday night, I had the 1st anniversary show/party of The Mopco Improv theatre, where I perform regularly. I was pacing around before hand waiting for the call from my BFF because I was so nervous it was going to happen when I was on stage. Luckily it didn’t and I was able to talk to her when she called.
The theatre celebration was so much fun and I’m thrilled to be part of such a flourishing place.
Saturday morning I went on a hike with J to get up close to the beautiful fall foliage in our backyard. I posted this shot on Instagram yesterday and I truly am thankful to live so close to the Adirondacks.
Hiking in the Lake George area is one of my favorite things to do 🙂
Saturday night was time for the party!
Her fiancé had to tell her a bit beforehand since she is a planner at heart too and knew she would want to do some things around the house.
We had a little food and A LOT of champagne lol. I’m so happy for the two of them and can’t wait for the wedding fun!
Sunday was the Super Bowl rematch!
It wasn’t much of a rematch and I know you can’t say that because it’s a different season, but there’s nothing like Sunday Night Football. It was my first time bringing J so I wanted it to be a good game. I’m pretty intense about my fandom lol, so I’m glad we won. I’m always so thankful my dad, uncle and grandpa started this tradition for our family!
Everyone can’t stop talking about the fog this morning and it’s true I’ve never seen Gillette like that before. It was kind of spooky and fitting that it was happening a week before Halloween!
I’m feeling all the happy feels today 🙂
