What’s Up Wednesday April 2017

Sigh, I don’t want April to end, it’s my favorite month! Since, I love this linkup let’s get right too what’s up:

WHAT I’M EATING THIS WEEK:

Since, I haven’t really had my sense of taste due to my cold, and allergies I’ve been boring in the food department. There was this yummy breakfast the other day though.

“Healthy Heart” at the Iron Roost Cafe

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

The Bahamas.

WHAT I’M LOVING:

Quick workouts! This Tabata workout and other popsugar fitness videos have been my go-tos lately. I like moderate workouts that feel good and actually work.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO:

Check out my weekending post from Monday. Other than that I was sick for a good 5 days after vacation (how I caught up on Gilmore Girls lol)

WHAT I’M DREADING:

Allergies. Ugh I never had them as a kid but a few years ago I started getting really red itchy eyes during this time of year. I try my best with drops and OTC allergy meds but I guess I have to ride it out.

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

I’m still working on being intentional with my technology use. This was my focus during Lent, but now that it’s over, I’m still continuing to find ways to not let all the electronics consume my life.

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

The Travel Blog Exchange: North America next week! Since it’s my first blogging conference I can’t wait to learn some new things to elevate this space for all of you readers out there! I’m also looking forward to meeting other bloggers in the travel community. If you’re interested in what goes on during these blog conferences, follow along with me on my Instastories next week!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:

Gilmore Girls-I don’t want it to end

Pretty Little Liars-sad it’s the final episodes, but ready to be done with the mysteries

Dancing with the Stars-I am so mad they let Heather go this week. I haven’t been this mad at the show in a very long time.

I read my first Nancy Thayer book on vacation and loved it! The Island House is about a successful and beautiful family that lives on Nantucket. The matriarch welcomes her children’s friends each summer and refers to them as her summer children. It’s a love story mixed with a little bit of mystery and beautiful scenery. Great beach read!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:

I love, love, love a good girl power playlist to work out too. This week I’ve been listening too an independent ladies one.

I’ve been listening to Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey ever since I tuned into Shay’s episode (loved her episodes!). Jamie asks her guests great questions and many of them are such interesting uplifting people.

 WHAT I’M WEARING:

The top was from a few years ago and I couldn’t find anything remotely similar. The shoes are down below and these are my favorite j.crew chino Shorts!

Dress (Similar)// Shoes (Similar)

I found this Kensie dress at Marshalls literally two days before I left for my trip. It was one size too big but still worked and I love the colors. I tried to search for it but the similar dress I linked is the best I could find.  The shoes are Nine West from two seasons ago.

Jacket (Similar) // Pants (Similar) // Toms (Similar)

Bring on all the pastels and light layers for spring!

Top // Pants // Necklace

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

Farmers markets & facials. I’m someone who enjoys receiving gifts that offer an experience rather than a material thing. I’m a huge spa girl who loves her massages and facials. So my family and friends usually buy me gift certificates to my favorite spa Kimberely’s in New York. I’m so excited to indulge this weekend 🙂

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

The start of summer! I don’t want to rush spring since this is my favorite time of the year when these two seasons meet. However, I’m looking forward to boat time, pool days and more happy hours in the sun!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:

I may or may not sneak a trip into next month as well 😉

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPRING/SUMMER SHOE:

Ok I couldn’t pick just one could I?! I would say my trusty Birkenstock Sandal is my go too. However, I bought these other sandals before my trip to the Bahamas and fell in love with them so now they will all be favorites for both seasons!

Can’t wait to see what everyones up too! See you all on Friday 🙂

ahh I’m on the Gilmore Girls train too and seriously cannot believe I’ve never watched this show! I’m mid season 2 so I’m super fresh! haha Loving your outfits – all of em! I hope the allergies subside a little. My hubs is the same way and the pollen here is outrageous! (ps thanks for your comment but you popped up as no-reply again so I couldn’t respond. That’s usually a quick fix in blogger if I remember correctly!) Have a great day! xoxo

I think my mom and I are going this weekend to get pedicures. I’ve never had a facial but it sounds lovely. I’d much rather get experience gifts than material things too!
