What’s Up Wednesday October 2017

Happy Wednesday Friends!

It’s my favorite link up today. I can’t wait to go through and see what everyone’s been up too. Link up with Shay and Jessi if you want to join in 🙂

WHAT I’M EATING THIS WEEK:

Tasty Buzzfeed’s Chicken Fried Rice

Shay’s Pumpkin Sausage Bake

I’ve been trying a bunch of dishes off of my recipes board on Pinterest. I like to pin recipes I see so when I’m deciding what to make for the week, I can check that as a reference for new ideas.

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:

My first time visiting Seattle at the end of last month. Here is my first-timers guide on what to see. Look for a food/dessert guide on the blog in the next few weeks!

WHAT I’M LOVING:

It’s been so beautiful out that I can’t help but be in awe of the amazing colors of this season. Every time I get in the car and drive around I’m mindful of how amazing it is to see these beautiful fall scenes.

WHAT I’VE BEEN UP TO:

Last weekend was pretty epic celebrating an improv anniversary show, an engagement, hiking and a Patriots win!

WHAT I’M DREADING:

Daylight savings, I never like it when the day light hours get shorter 🙁 How much longer until the summer solstice?!

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:

I’m working on taking 15 mins or an hour a day, depending on what I have time for, to organize different areas in my room, bathroom, car, house. I feel overwhelmed sometimes by the amount of stuff I need to go through so I’ve been working at it slowly, but surely. Leave a comment below with your favorite kitchen organizing hack!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

My best friend’s engagement this past weekend!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:

I finished A Hundred Summers by Beatriz Williams this month and wow was it a HUGE favorite. I loved that it was set in pre-World War II New England. There were so many familiar places in the book since part of it takes place in Rhode Island, but Lake George’s Sagamore gets a cameo in the book as well. I couldn’t put it down as I followed the love story that it centers around. There were some twist and turns in the book I didn’t see coming and historical references that I was interested in reading more about afterwards. I don’t want to give too much away, but if you are looking for a love story with weight to it then this book is perfect!

I’ve been watching all my Patriot games as well as rewatching Stranger Things before the new season comes out this week. So excited for that!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:

Kelly Clarkson’s new songs and a few different podcasts like Happier with Gretchen Rubin and Off Book: Musical Improv.

 WHAT I’M WEARING:

I’ve been living in jeans, boots and layers since the October weather has been all over the place! I linked these two outfits earlier in the month!

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:

I have nothing planned and it feels so good!

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:

Thanksgiving, bring on the food!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:

I’m getting a facial this morning at one of my favorite places in the Capital Region, Kimberely’s. They always decorate so well for each season. Follow on instastories for more!

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving side dish?

How can I choose one?! I love to mix all the different sides together like mash potatoes, gravy, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce and put it on top of my turkey lol 🙂

Have a great rest of the week!

I’m officially hungry now! And I hear ya.. not a fan of daylight savings! It’s too dark way too early, and I find that I get lazier this time of year instead of getting outside after dinner. I am way too excited about the release of season 2 on Friday of Stranger Things 😀
